PUERTO PRINCESA - Filipina-Indian beauty queen Ganiel Krishnan "badly" wants to meet U.S. president-elect Donald Trump.
During the coronation night of the Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 held Wednesday evening in Palawan, Krishnan was asked who she would like to meet if given the chance.
"If I were to meet someone, I would badly want to meet the newly elected president of the United States of America, Donald Trump," she said. "I think he is one of the most powerful person right now and being able to talk to him would give me more influence to the other people because I would be able to tell him what my advocacy is."
The Miss Asia Pacific International pageant aims to become a platform for women "to embrace, express, and exercise their individuality," and support those "who want to be the voice of celebrating beauty and harmony in diversity."
Krishnan's answer earned her a spot in the top five. She finished third-runner up behind Thailand's Chawanya Thanomwong and winner Tessa le Conge of the Netherlands.
Krishnan is not the only Filipina beauty queen who appears to be a fan of the business tycoon. Last month, Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves drew flak for her decision to pick Trump over Hillary Clinton to join her in stopping war and violence.
She also said that she would like to work for Trump
