Felicia notches up second award

Miss Cook Islands Felicia George is on a roll at the 2016 Miss Asia International Pageant in the Philippines.
The pageant has had heads turning and people talking as the event takes to its final hours before announcing the official crown winner of the pageant tonight.
George, who won the “Miss Talent” award last week, was also announced as “Miss Photogenic”.
Later last night, Miss Cook Islands was voted to second place in the “people’s choice” section of the event.
George, who dedicated her win to her parents, is being supported by the Miss Cook Islands Pageant Association and many family and friends who have been posting on her Facebook page.
She has taken the opportunity to showcase her Cook Islands culture and the nation’s rich cultural diversity to pageant audiences and the 46 other contestants from around the world.
George gives all the glory to God for her pageant success and says she could not have done it without the support of her team.
Miss Thailand won the Best in Swimsuit award and Miss Netherlands Miss Friendship, while Miss Colombia took out the award for Best in Long Gown.
George’s success follows hot on the heels of Miss Earth Cook Islands, Allanah Herman-Edgar bringing home a gold medal from the 2016 Miss Earth pageant in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Miss Cook Islands to the Miss World Pageant, Natalia Short, is expected to depart our shores for the event in the United States next month and Miss Cook Islands to the Miss Pacific Islands 2016 pageant, Tepaeru Toka‘s event is scheduled for the end of this month.
