From Binibini 19 to Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2017, Rachel Louise Peters may have been officially crowned, but she certainly took home a little more than that.
Peters managed to win the hearts of many with her impressive answer to European Union Ambassador to the Philippines Franz Jessen’s question on what her message will be, if she were invited as speaker, at the recent ASEAN Summit.
Peters answered: “I believe that one of the biggest problems of our country is divisiveness — in politics, religion, and culture. I believe it is the same across the world and that is something I would like to address. If we can learn to tolerate each other’s differences and respect each other, then we will be a stronger nation going forward,” which earned her a round of applause from the audience.
The 25-year-old beauty queen has proven herself to be the epitome of beauty and brains, but there’s more to love about her after the glitz and the glam.
A single scroll down her Instagram feed can give netizens an idea on the three things she loves most: the beach, her bully and boyfriend.
It’s probably a beauty queen thing, but Peters is not the first to profess her undying love for the beach and surfing its waves when it’s time for a break.
Peters is also fond of dogs, especially her very own #RondaTheBully and pretty much every animal out there.
Lastly, Peters is evidently happily in love. She’s in a relationship with Camarines Sur Gov. Miguel Luis “Migz” Villafuerte and by the looks of it, the two are having the best days of their lives traveling, parenting Ronda and serving. (Charmaine Tadalan)
