It’s been 24 years since Ruffa Gutierrez represented the country in the 1993 Miss World pageant held at Sun City, South Africa.
The daughter of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama made the Philippines proud by bagging the second runner-up title, even if she was just 18 years-old then.
Ruffa on her Instagram account talked about the time when she joined the prestigious beauty pageant.
In her post yesterday, May 30 she expressed her profound gratitude to God for the beautiful life she has been given and thanked all her supporters who has been there from the start.
“Balik tanaw... 18 years old, super fresh and sitting on top of the world. Thank you Lord for giving me a beautiful life.”
“And to all of you who have seen me grow up to be the woman I am today... through ups and downs... through heartbreaks and victories...through hardships and success....Maraming Salamat! I know I will forever be your Miss World. Mahal ko kayong lahat.”
