Rachel Peters to open coffee shop in Siargao
MANILA – Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters is set to open a coffee shop in Siargao.
In an interview with the entertainment website Pep, Peters said she wants to put together three things that she loves: coffee, pastries and water sports.
She said the café, named Bake, is located right by the beach and is already 80% finished.
“Bake is pretty much like me,” she said, noting that the place also allows her and her guests to be “baked by the sun.”
“I love surfing, I love Siargao, I love the beach.”
Peters said she learned how to be a barista while staying in Melbourne, which she described as “the coffee capital of the world.”
Bake is set to open in Siargao in June, while she is preparing to represent the Philippines in the next Miss Universe pageant.
“I can’t wait until it’s finally done,” she said.
