Here’s some news Pinoy pageant enthusiasts will be excited about.
Department of Tourism (DOT) secretary Wanda Teo said that the Miss Universe organization offered the Philippines the hosting rights to the next installment of the Miss Universe pageant happening this November.
“We’re still studying it but that’s true, they are asking us to host it again this year,” Teo said in a report by ABS-CBN News.
Teo added that the Miss Universe organization was pleased with how the country the handled the 65th Miss Universe pageant, which was supposedly more popular than the pre-events of the recent Super Bowl.
The Philippines hosted the popular beauty competition in January, where Miss France Iris Mittenaere won the crown.
The coronation night was held at the Mall of Asia Arena, but there were pre-pageant activities held in various locations around the country, such as Vigan, Cebu, Baguio, and Davao, among others.
