Liza Soberano to become Miss Universe
A photo of Liza Soberano wearing Pia Wurtzbach’s signature blue gown and the Miss Universe crown has taken the Internet by storm.
If not for the caption, “#lizasoberano to play as #PiaWurtzbach on MMK this June,” netizens would have speculated that the young actress is being pressed to enter the pageant industry.
The edited photo posted on Dolce Amore’s Facebook page appears to be a fan-made teaser for an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya”, featuring the story of the 2015 Miss Universe titleholder.
“She’s taping for ‘MMK’ as the young Pia Wurtzbach,” Ogie Diaz, Soberano’s talent manager, told ABS-CBN.
Soberano has long been eyed as a potential Miss Universe bet.

Even Wurtzbach was quick to consider Soberano when a Twitter user asked the Queen to give names of Filipina celebrities that could join the pageant.
“I can think of a lot. But if I had to pick one… Liza Soberano. She’s beautiful,” Pia said

Liza previously said she had no intention of joining the pageant.
“To be honest, I have no plans on being Miss Universe, but I’m not closing any doors. It’s an honor to be complimented by Miss Universe herself,” Soberano said.
