14 shortlisted for Miss World T&T pageant

The Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Organization says it has moved into phase two of its screening process for the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2017 pageant.

The organisation says it has chosen 14 "lovely young ladies" who will compete in a series of challenges.

The top 8 will be announced before the end of the month, as they will compete in the national pageant in July 2017 for the title of Miss World Trinidad and Tobago.
 
The names are:

1.      Amrita Annamunthodo
2.      Christelle Arthur
3.      Melissa Aquilliera
4.      Michelle Baldeen
5.      Sherisse Bideshi
6.      Chandini Chanka
7.      Djennicia Francis
8.      Rayana Gomez
9.      Tanisha Lalla
10.   Jade Mascall
11.   Zayna McDonald
12.   Anastasia Mootoo
13.   Zobah Samuel
14.   Samantha Sinanan

The organisation says the girls have all done their introduction videos and have met with the panel for their final interview round.
 
The organisation says this year’s show will encompass various “new” elements such as our Top Model & Fitness Challenge, very similar to the Miss World challenges in addition to the Beauty With a Purpose, Interview and Talent challenges.

The international pageant takes place in China later this year.
