Vietnam to host Miss Grand International 2017 in October
(VOVworld) – The Miss Grand International beauty contest will run from October 5 to 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh and Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang province, according to a press conference on Monday in Hanoi.

Nguyen Tran Huyen My, the 1st runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2014, will represent Vietnam at this pageant. The contest’s chief organizer Tran Minh Tien said: “The competition is attracting a million followers a month. Hosting the competition will give Vietnam an opportunity to promote its image to the world and show off its great tourism potential.”
Miss Grand International (MGI), considered one of the world’s finest beauty events, began in 2013 in Thailand. This year’s pageant promotes peace through its “Stop war and violence” campaign.
