AN ADMIN assistant who developed bulimia after brutal trolls called her “fat and ugly” could be the next Miss England.
Tia Burke is now a beauty queen – but just eight years ago she was a victim of a vicious bullying campaign – carried out by former school pals.
The 22-year-old said she would endure hours of bullying at school only to go home and receive more name-calling and abuse online.
Within seconds of walking through the front door she said messages would flood her phone telling her she was a ‘fat ugly slag’.
Her tormentors would target her on every social media platform and leave nasty comments under her pictures.
And Tia, from Birmingham, said: “I know first-hand how damaging the internet can be for kids who are getting bullied.
“Your home should be your retreat from the outside world – but for Millennials it can be worse than being at school because you’re connected to everyone online.”
