Preparing to compete for the title of Miss USA is not an easy task, but with hardwork and help from her team of sponsors, current Miss Tennessee USA, Allee-Sutton Hethcoat, is tackling the job with beauty, grace and style. Miss USA contestants are judged in four areas: interview, evening gown, swimsuit, and an on-stage question. Each state representative prepares countless hours to perfect each area of competition before the nationally televised pageant airing in May.
Hethcoat, a Franklin native and current student at the Nashville School of Law, maintains a low-carb diet and touts the mantra, “all things in moderation.” Her workout routine includes high intensity interval training with Josh Roberts at Results Fitness, a lot of cardio and strength training, as well as the occasional walk or hike. But the rigorous diet and exercise are only a small portion of her role.

“The job is two fold,” says Hethcoat. “One part of your job is preparing for Miss USA. The other part is being a state representative. As Miss Tennessee USA, I have taken on causes that are near and dear to my heart.”
These causes include local organizations like the Nashville Rescue Mission, Southwestern Advantage Publishing and The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. Hethcoat says her focus as Miss USA would be to expand Miss Universe’s existing charitable alliances while forging new ones. She is passionate about making an impact regionally and is excited about the potential do so on a national level.
Hethcoat has the brain and heart of Miss USA, with the enviable closet of a queen. Hersimple and clean style, reminiscent of Grace Kelly and Edith Head, is reflected in herwardrobe with selects from Brentwood's JS Fields & Co. and Fab’rik, located in Franklin. On Sunday, May 14, pageant viewers can expect to see Hethcoat’s classic influences during the Miss USA competition.
