Srishti Kaur from India crowned Miss Teen Universe 2017

Srishti Kaur from Delhi was crowned Miss Teen Universe 2017 at a spectacular grand finale where she succeeded Nieveles Gonzalez from Puerto Rico. The teenage beauty queen studies in London College of Fashion. She also won the Best National Costume Award at the prestigious pageant.
The other best costumes were for the fourth place, Dominican Republic; Third place, Guatemala and second place for Nicaragua. Judging of the pageant was based on candidate's physical beauty and other qualities such as personality, talent, and intelligence.
Samantha Pierre from Canada and Ary Trava from Mexico were the runners-up in the event held at the Ruben Dario National Theater in Nicaragua's capital Managua.Xirelle Agustin from the Philippines won in the Teen Popularity category, while Nicole Obando from Costa Rica won the award for Teen Charm.
The six-year-old beauty pageant for teens aged 15 to 19 is held by the Miss Universe Organization. Pageant contestants came mostly from Latin America and the Caribbean, though two came from Africa and one from Europe. The 25 teenage girls made their catwalk in a cocktail dress since this year they have stopped the competition in a bathing suit. The evening also had its artistic moments with the electrifying performances from Penelope and Zedd.
