In life, we encounter a lot of disappointments.
There are things we badly wanted but turns out to be the other way around. In some cases, it's the complete opposite of what we're expecting.
As a result, we either become too emotional or outraged because of the immense feeling we have inside us in these desperate times.

Same is true with beauty pageant fans. When our local bets do not win, we always have something to say about the results.
This is different however when you have the rest of the Philippines rallying behind the bearer of our flag and pride in the international stage.

This is also the same reason why, when our Miss World representative Catriona Gray didn't win, it all broke our hearts especially when she is indeed one of the strongest contestants in the pageant.
As expected, Filipino beauty pageant fans turned to social media to air their reactions about the pageant and the results.

During the Question and Answer portion of the competition, the stunning Pinay beauty was asked by Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna "Which qualities do you think it will take to wear my crown", to which our pride gave the most inspiring answer of all.

"I think first of all, it takes bravery. To be a Miss World is to carry a burning torch. It is like action carried out by one to illuminate the lives of many. And I would dedicate my whole self, my love for the arts, and my voice to trying to uplift, empower, and educate people. And it would be my greatest honor and duty to hold this torch high enough so that all the world could feel and see its light," Gray said with confidence.
Well, we could all hope the results for the upcoming Miss Universe 2016 to be hosted by the country in January 2017 will be favorable to us.
