Miss Universe bets start pageant’s activities with photo shoots in Vigan City
MANILA — Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo said all candidates for the 65th Miss Universe are expected to start coming in to the Philippines on Jan. 12, 2017.
In a media briefing on Monday, Teo said Miss Universe candidates will start their pageant’s activities by Jan. 15 for a photo shoot in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
On Jan. 16, Miss Universe candidates will attend the Governor’s Ball at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The swimsuit competition will be held on Jan.17 at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark in Lapu Lapu City, Cebu.
The next day, Jan. 18, candidates will fly back to Luzon for photo shoots. Half of them will go to Baguio City and half of them will go to Albay.
Another photo shoot will take place in Batangas on Jan.19.
On the same day, some of the candidates are expected to be in Davao for a fashion show showcasing Mindanao fabrics.
At the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, another fashion show is set on Jan. 21 and the Women Empowerment Night, which will be participated by all candidates, is set on Jan. 22.
On Jan. 23, Miss Universe candidates will meet President Rodrigo Duterte for a courtesy call and the National Gift Auction will take place at Conrad Hotel.
The competition for national costume will follow on Jan.24 at the World Trade Center.
The tourism chief likewise mentioned that the ticket selling for the pageant will open on Tuesday, Dec.20.
VIP seats are priced at Php 50,000, Php 25,800 for Lower Box A seats, Php 23,800 for Lower Box B seats, Php 4,800 for Upper Box seats, and Php 2,000 for General Admission tickets.
Tickets will also be available online.
