who can serve as ambassadors for beauty, culture and tourism.
Present during the event were Hirro, Miss Global 2015 Jessica Peart of Australia, Miss Global 2015 4th runner-up Mary Candice Ramos and Miss Global 2014 2nd runner-up Catherine Almirante.

Sponsors and supporters also attended the event, including Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines president Digna Rosales, who expressed support of the global tilt by way of the guild’s member-designers providing
the evening gowns of the delegates arriving in Manila from September 9 to 12.
Peart expressed her joy at being back in Manila to crown her successor and told Hirro in jest, “to watch out for Australia’s wonderful delegate this year because we intend to keep the crown!”
On the other hand, Hirro, a 28-year-old Filipino-Japanese Broadcast Communication Arts cum laude graduate from UP, expressed her gratitude to all the people who have supported her for her forthcoming pageant. She added
that the pressure of competing on home soil, “is actually an advantage because of the fact that I don’t have to adjust to the weather, to the people and everything I need for the pageant will be within a helping hand’s reach,
including intensive training at Kagandahang Flores camp.”
Hirro also got pieces of advice from her immediate predecessors Almirante and Ramos who told her to enjoy the journey and to eat healthy to fight the stress that comes with the competition.
Last year, the third Miss Global Pageant was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila in Pasay with 48 delegates worldwide competing and eventually won by Peart, a 5’11” Speech Pathology student
of Deakin University in Melbourne.
