Miss Illinois USA Pageant opens Friday at Braden
NORMAL — The 2017 Miss Illinois USA Pageant will be held over four days, beginning Friday at Braden Auditorium at Illinois State University.
Officials expect about 1,000 people to attend the various events that involve about 150 contestants in two competitions: Miss Illinois Teen USA and Miss Illinois USA.
The Miss Illinois Teen USA competition will take place on Friday with the Miss Illinois USA taking place on Saturday. Both start at 8 p.m.
Coronations for both competitions will take place on Monday — at 2 p.m. for Miss Teen and 7 p.m. for Miss USA.
Tickets range from $45-$65 and can purchased at the Braden Auditorium Box Office or on Ticketmaster.
This year marks the first year for Bloomington-Normal serving as host of the pageant; it has been held in the Chicago area for more than a decade, including in Skokie the past two years.
