Adelaide fashion designer Natalia Fiacchi hopes to shine in Miss Universe pageant’s Gown of the Evening event

WHEN Miss Universe is crowned, emerging Adelaide designer Natalia Fiacchi is hoping to also get her chance to shine.
The 28-year-old creator of D’Lelle eveningwear is taking part in “The Gown of the Evening” competition, which has been introduced to the Miss Universe Australia contest.
The Gown of the Evening competition is open to designers supplying formalwear to finalists, and the winner will be invited to dress the winner of Miss Universe Australia when she competes in the Miss Universe pageant in January in the Philippines.
In the running for the national title are South Australia’s Megan Ryan, 21, of Adelaide, and Erin Scott, 18, of Kadina.
The two will wear D’Lelle designs when they compete for the title in Melbourne this month. The winner to be announced on August 31.
Ms Fiacchi, who is also the owner of One Night Stand boutique on Pulteney St, said the exposure before a global audience would be “incredible” if she won the Gown of the Evening.
“It would be an amazing opportunity for my label to be seen alongside some of the best designers in the world at the Miss Universe final,” she said.
