THE applications are open and the hunt is on for England’s next beauty queen but with the standards high would you qualify to compete for the crown?

The organisers announce that they are looking for a “talented sporty photogenic charitable female who has modelling potential”.

Could you be the next to wear the crown?

First things first, you may be asking yourself if you can face the body-shaming humiliation of the dreaded swimwear round but fear not.

You can keep your wobbly bits safely tucked away as this element has been scrapped. It is replaced by an optional Beach Beauty round where contestants are invited to submit a picture of themselves in swimwear.

Having breathed that sigh of relief, your next barrier is your age.

Applicants must be between 16 and 26 years old on 30th December of the year of entry. So anyone born before New Year’s Eve 1989 has sadly missed the boat.
