Moments after Queensland’s Madeline Cowe was crowned Miss World Australia 2016 on Friday night, her sparkling crown tumbled off of her head.
The brunette beauty appeared shocked as she was named the national final winner on Friday night at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne and Miss World Australia 2015 Tess Alexander placed the crown on her head.
The crown slipped from her head briefly as she threw up her hands in excitement but was caught by Ms Alexander and placed back on.
Ms Cowe held the crown in place as she walked down the stage and toward the cheering crowd.

Her white, lacy gown with small train and thigh-high split was contrasted by the colourful confetti that sprinkled the stage.
Ms Cowe, from Tully in rural Queensland, was the first runner up in Miss Universe Australia in June 2015, according to The Cairns Post.
She was also contestant on Australia's Next Top Model Cycle eight.

Her fellow finalists congratulated the brunette beauty as she received her title
Among the congratulatory finalists was Magnolia Maymuru, 19, representing the Northern Territory, who made history as the first indigenous finalist in the national competition.
She is also a model who participated in her first show, NT Fashion Week, in October.
Another familiar face is Victoria’s Esma Voloder, who won Miss Teen Australia in 2008.
