Tully beauty crowned Miss World Australia
UPDATE: TULLY’S Madeline Cowe has been crowned Miss World Australia.
The law student posted a message to supporters on social media this afternoon, saying she was overjoyed to be crowned Miss World Australia.
“I can’t wait to represent Australia in the international pageant in Washington this December,” she wrote.
“Thank you everyone for all your kind messages, I will get back to you all as soon as I can!
“I had such a great time this past week, every single one of the other contestants are so beautiful inside and out!
“I can’t wait to go to Thailand next week with the top 5 - I know the next 12 months are going to be the best time of my life and I am looking forward to continuing on with the Beauty with a Purpose program alongside @varietyaustralia.”
YESTERDAY: Tully’s Madeline Cowe is among the beauties from across the country who will put their best stilleto forwrad tonight as they compete in the Miss World Australia final.
Among the notable finalists was Magnolia Maymuru, who is representing the Northern Territory and made history as the first indigenous finalist in the Miss World Australia competition.
The 19-year-old has also just been chosen as the face of Chadstone’s coming SS16 campaign.
Queensland’s entrant Ms Cowe, a law student from Tully, was a runner up in the Miss Universe Australia competition last year.
