Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach attends the homecoming press conference in Quezon City on January 24, 2016.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Move over, James Franco.
The Hollywood actor may have gotten Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's attention when he posted a photo on his Instagram sending love to the current Miss Universe, but a Fil-Am teen from Texas may just give him some competition.
On Thursday (January 28), Jerel Labra posted a video clip on Twitter asking Wurtzbach if she would go to prom with him.
Labra congratulated Wurtzbach on winning Miss Universe, adding that she made Filipinos very proud.
He went on to say, "I may not be as handsome as James Franco, or as funny as Seth Rogen, or maybe as ripped as Channing Tatum, but I can say this: I'm a runner up."
Labra then catches a bouquet of roses thrown by someone off-frame and says, "Pia, will you go to prom with me on April 23?"

It took little time for Wurtzbach to notice Labra's prom-posal, and the beauty queen replied with a video clip of her own.
The clip shows a fresh-faced Wurtzbach smiling at the camera and accepting Labra's invitation – well, sort of.
She said she had never received a proposal quite like the one from Labra and added that it was a first.
And as for Labra's invitation?
Wurtzbach said, "I would love to go if my schedule permits. So, we'll see. I can't promise anything yet right now, but your message was really sweet."

Labra replied to Wurtzbach saying that he hoped she could make it and "please please make time for it. Excited nako!"

As of posting time, Labra's video prom-posal has been retweeted over 600 times and received over 1,000 likes.
Most of those who replied to Labra offered words of encouragement and congratulations.
Your move, James Franco.
