Pia’s ‘pageant besties’ reunite in PH for Bb. Pilipinas 2016

A day before the grand coronation night of the much-awaited Binibining Pilipinas 2016, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and her close friends from the international pageant gathered in the Philippines to watch Wurtzbach pass on her Binibining Pilipinas-Universe crown to her successor.

On Saturday (April 16, 2016), the reigning Miss Universe shared a photo of her gal pals from Malaysia and Myanmar via the official Miss Universe Instagram page. Miss Malaysia Vanessa Tevi Kumares and Miss Myanmar May Thaw arrived in the country on Friday night (April 15, 2016).

The Pinay beauty queen also gave a shoutout to another pageant sister — Miss China Jessica Xueyun Fang.

“Guess who’s here in Manila to support and watch the Binibining Pilipinas pageant tomorrow? Vanessa and May! Miss Malaysia and Miss Myanmar. Missing you, Fang! #TeamEarlyBird #Reunited I missed these crazies so much! (Oh! And Olivia is arriving today!),” wrote the 26-year-old Miss Universe titleholder in the photo’s caption.

Earlier today, Miss USA and Miss Universe 2015 second runner-up Olivia Jordan also arrived in Manila to grace the same event.

“Been in Manila for one hour and already have a new best friend,” said Jordan on Instagram, pertaining to a hotel dog she met in Manila upon her arrival. “The hospitality of the Philippines is even more amazing than I could have ever expected. Can’t wait to meet more of you,”

Jordan and Wurtzbach have already crossed paths in the country, as bared by the 2015 Miss Universe on social media, Saturday afternoon. She also invited Filipinos to help her in making the American guest “feel the Filipino love.”

“Look who’s here! Now we’re one big happy family! @missusa It’s her first time in the Philippines and let’s make her feel the Filipino love!,” wrote Wurtzbach.

The next Binibining Pilipinas will be crowned on Sunday (Apri l17, 2016) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
