Miss USA film crew, made up of Mike Churton, Mike Zorbas, and Chris Faust, visited Livingston on Friday, April 22 to film Miss Tennessee USA Hope Stephens in various locations for the upcoming Miss USA Pageant. On Saturday, they continued their filming with Stephens wake boarding in Irons Creek near Willow Grove on Dale Hollow Lake.
Weeks before the Miss USA film crew arrived, Stephens needed to submit photos of her wake boarding and surfing on Dale Hollow Lake. In 59 degree water and 62 degree air, Miss Tennessee braved the cold water to get the photos needed.
Boat driver Darren Oliver said, “She’s tougher than Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris wears Superman pajamas, Superman wears Miss Tennessee Hope Stephens pajamas. When Miss Tennessee has a fall while wake boarding, we ask if the water is okay.
“Kidding aside, the community is extremely proud of Hope Stephens and her accomplishments.”
Stephens represented the Upper Cumberland Region in the Miss Tennessee USA Pageant held October 10, 2015 at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. She will next represent Tennessee in the Miss USA Pageant to be held Sunday, June 5.
