LOOK: Miss USA finds ‘new best friend’ in PH

Miss USA Olivia Jordan, who was also crowned as 2nd runner up in the Miss Universe 2015 competition, has arrived in the Philippines to reunite with “pageant BFF” Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach on Saturday (April 16, 2016). Just like Wurtzbach who breaks protocol just to pet and shake hands with a K9, Jordan seem to have a soft spot for animals as well.

On Saturday, the American beauty took to social media to introduce her followers to her “new best friend” — a K9 named Rex over at Novotel in Manila.

“Been in Manila for one hour and already have a new best friend. The hospitality of the Philippines is even more amazing than I could have ever expected. Can’t wait to meet more of you!!! Xo #MissUSA #philippines #binibiningpilipinas #styledbymb,” said Olivia in her Instagram post’s caption together with a photo of herself petting a dog.

Previously, Jordan also expressed how grateful she is for the opportunity of flying to the country through an Instagram quote accompanied by a message saying how she prayed for a ticket to the Philippines.

“Granted it was just yesterday I was praying for a ticket to the Philippines and now I’m on my way there so that would be weird if I forgot that but you know what I mean…I’m grateful, and I pinch myself everyday that I get to live this dream life. Go after your dreams guys and dolls and appreciate each moment you feel them coming true,” she wrote on Friday (April 15, 2016).

Jordan will be gracing the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 grand coronation night with Wurtzbach on Sunday (April 17, 2016) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
