Miss Florida USA, Brie Gabrielle, will be in Palm Beach on Thursday for a beach clean-up in the South End.
On her Twitter account, Gabrielle urged South Floridians to volunteer for the event. An actress and model, Gabrielle competed in the Miss Florida USA pageant as “Miss Palm Beach.” She will compete in the Miss USA 2016 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 5. The winner will represent the United States in the Miss Universe pageant later this year.
The Turtle Tuesday clean-up is being held on Thursday in honor of Earth Day, which is April 22.
The clean-up will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the South End, with parking at a private residence at 1616 S. Ocean Blvd. For more information, email kristen@luxuryprgroup.
The turtle-nesting season clean-ups began in 2013. Since then, volunteers have since removed more than 8,200 pounds of debris.
The event is sponsored by the Worth Avenue Association, Loggerhead Marinelife Center and the Town of Palm Beach.
