Pia reunited with Miss U co-delegates
MANILA, Philippines – 2015 Miss Myanmar Universe May Barani Thaw and 2015 Miss Malaysia Universe Vanessa Tevi Kumares were reunited with 2015 Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach when they arrived in the country to be the special guests at the Grand Coronation Night of 2016 Bb. Pilipinas last Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
They were among Pia’s co-delegates who greeted her on stage to show their support after she was rightfully crowned as the 2015 Miss Universe. The moment was captured (see photo) and drew positive remarks among pageant followers earning love and respect from the netizens worldwide.
Pia and May became friends as they were roommates in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas during the duration of the competition. As a token of appreciation, Pia gifted May her last pair of pearl of earrings when May dropped by Pia’s suite before leaving Las Vegas.
Indeed, a beauty pageant can build friendships even as contestants are thousand miles away from each other. Pia, May and Vanessa were one in saying, ‘Our friendship will last for a lifetime.’
