Abigail Havora (24) was crowned Miss Pacific Islands 2015 on 13 December in Rarotonga, making history for her country Papua New Guinea by becoming the first Miss PNG to win the regional title.

A science graduate working for Oil Search, PNG’s largest oil and gas company in Port Moresby, Abigail took the title after winning the best sarong and best talent competitions.

EM TV News in Port Moresby reported Abigail has made history, being crowned Miss Pacific Islands 2015-16, the first Miss PNG to win the regional pageant since PNG joined in 2010.

Miss Samoa, Ariana Taufao was first runner-up, after winning best interview.

Miss Tonga, Brittne Fuimaono (21) the second runner-up won Miss Photogenic and Miss Social Media after garnering more than 14,000 likes on her profile in a poll held on the Miss Pacific Islands Facebook page.

Miss Fiji, Zaira Begg who was third runner-up won best traditional wear.

Miss Solomon Islands Deanne Enoch was fourth runner-up.

The pageant held under a theme, 'Our Spirit of Adventure' celebrated the history and future of Pacific Island people.
