Will Virginia Win its Third Miss USA Crown After 46 Years?
Virginia is Back with the Desire of Its Third Miss USA Crown Through Desiree Williams
Desiree Wiliams, Miss Virginia USA 2016 is already considered a heavy favourite for the crown of Miss USA 2016. Possessing an enigmatic personality and exotic beauty, people all across the world are gaga over the fine charm Desiree beholds!
Desiree Williams received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hampton University, where she also earned a B.S. in Health and Physical Education, minoring in Leadership Studies. Presently, she works as a faculty member at her alma mater as Interim Director of the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. Now that’s what we call a beauty with a brain!
Formerly, Desiree Williams has held the titles of Miss Virginia 2013 and National Sweetheart 2012, hence her polished experience and grace in pageants is not surprising! A licensed clinician, certified yoga instructor, and Reiki Level I practitioner, Desiree Williams is not only vying to be third titleholder of Miss USA from Virginia but also to be a constructive role model for others.
As beautiful as her mind, Desiree co-authored and published a book in 2014, entitled “Love Affair with my Hair: Why Black Women Cheat on Health”. The book was an inspiration to millions of people across United States of America, and the overwhelming response she received through her work, has led her to pave the way to success, which she is soon going to receive.
Desiree enjoys serving as a public and motivational speaker and is the spokesperson for her city’s annual marathon event. If she is crowned as Miss USA 2016, she will set a benchmark in the coming edition of Miss Universe 2016surely and persuasively through her eloquence, grace and positivity. She is truly an amalgamation of poise and humility.
Viriginia won its first Miss USA crown long ago in 1969 through Wendy Dascomb. In another consecutive year, Virginia won a back to back victory at Miss USA through Deborah Shelton. Since then, it has been 46 years when Virginia won its ultimate crown and right of representing United States of America at Miss Universe. However, seeing Desiree Williams’s potential it seems that Virginia is not going to settle less than a crown this year.
Virginia’s greatest success came from the late 1960s to early 1980s and since its participation, it has produced two first runner ups, one second and fourth runner up, three Top 10 finalists, and 12 semifinalists at Miss USA pageant.
Seeing the competence and flair of Desiree, I strongly believe that Virginia is undoubtedly a strong crown contender. What is your opinion on Desiree Williams’s prospects at Miss USA 2016, do not forget to share!
