Miss World wildcard Matilda Finnegan to host family fitness day at Narrabeen Surf Club
A MISS World hopeful will hold a charity day today as she continues her bid to land a spot in the top contest.
Matilda Finnegan will be at North Narrabeen Surf club from 8.30am until 11am with Aussie netball star Mo’onia Gerrard, for a family fitness day.
Yoga classes, a bootcamp with Narrabeen trainer Zanna Cox and fitness classes for children will also be on offer.
As reported in the Manly Daily, Miss Finnegan is hoping to land a spot in the Miss World final — not for her stunning looks but by raising cash.
While she is a beauty pageant regular and has made it to state finals of Miss Universe — the pageant that launched the career of northern beaches model Jennifer Hawkins — this time Ms Finnegan is taking a different route.
The 25-year-old model from Warriewood is a “wildcard” entrant.
She has taken up the challenge of raising more cash for the Variety children’s charity than any of the other hopefuls to land a spot in the final in July.
“I think it’s a great thing and it’s really empowering,” Ms Finnegan said.
“It’s not just about being a pretty face. It’s about using what you have to help other people.”
Tickets cost $25 for adults and $10 for children. To donate, click here.
