Although all eyes will be on the 52 stunning ladies competing in the 2016 Miss USA Pageant at our new T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, June 5, including 2016 Miss Nevada USA Emelina Adams of Henderson, they will have television and pop music and country competition.
This morning, Paula Shugart, president of the parent Miss Universe Organization, announced that three-time Emmy Award nominee Terrence “J” Jenkins will host the pageant airing on Fox.
The Backstreet Boys and Grammy Award- and ACM-nominated country singer Chris Young will perform during the three-hour telecast, with body activist and model Ashley Graham reporting as a backstage host.
Miss USA 1996 Ali Landry, an actress and model known for her Doritos commercials and short marriage to Mario Lopez, is one of the judges of the swimsuit, evening gown and interview categories.
Actress, model, TV host and 2008 USA Crystle Stewart is another judge along with Yahoo Fashion’s Joe Zee and Harpers Bazaar and YouTube fashion editor Laura Brown.
Check back next week as we kick our Miss USA Pageant coverage into high gear and 2015 Miss USA Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma prepares to crown her successor.
