Miss Oregon USA: 'I'm still at a loss for words because I still can't believe that I won'
SATURDAY, MAY 14TH 2016
EUGENE, Ore. - The Miss USA competition is less than a month away, and Miss Oregon USA happens to live right here in Eugene.
Natriana Shorter is a business management and leadership student at New Hope Christian College. She volunteers with the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Eugene Lunchtime Mentor Program.
We asked her what it felt like to win Miss Oregon USA.
"I'm still at a loss for words because I still can't believe that I won still even though it's been almost six months. It was just, like, a dream come true, like, I set a goal and I was able to accomplish that goal and if just felt wonderful," Shorter said.
Shorter will compete against every other state along with the District of Columbia on June 5 in Las Vegas. It will air on Oregon's Fox at 7 p.m.
