The accident happened on the N1 highway just before the New Road offramp in Midrand two weeks ago.
Laurie was rear-ended by another vehicle which caused her car to be pushed under a truck in front of her Sunday World reported.
Witnesses on the scene were convinced that the driver of the vehicle would not make it.
But proving that she is a survivor, the reigning Miss World Africa was seen crawling out of the rear passenger window of her car.
Laurie's publicist Jarred Doyle confirmed the accident and stated that she suffered minor injuries but is doing well.
"She sustained minor injuries on her arms and legs. She was lucky her face was not affected because that's part of her business," said Doyle.
