Miss Pacific Islands Pageant Week Begun
The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG week has begun.
Yesterday, a Church service was celebrated by Anglican Bishop, Denny Bray Guka, at the St John’s Parish in Port Moresby.
Bishop Denny’s message emphasised on prayer and its importance in life.
The contestants will also visit the blood bank, Buk Bilong Pikinini, National Museum and art gallery, and the Port Moresby General Hospital Maternity ward.
Euralia Paine, who is part of the organising committee, says the contestants will have a packed week, with motivational speakers, grooming and deportment as well as health and wellness classes.
This year is the 30th anniversary of the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant which began in Samoa. The theme for this year’s pageant is “Celebrating our history and Embracing our future”.
The crowing night is scheduled for October 22, at the Crowne Plaza in Port Moresby.
