Pia Wurtzbach celebrates sixth month as Miss Universe
It's been six months since Filipina beauty queen won the coveted Miss Universe crown in one of the most talked-about coronation in the history of the international beauty pageant. Who could forget the moment when Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia as the winner, only to take it back a few moments later and say that the victory belonged to the Philippines?
Despite the initial controversy during her first moments as titleholder, the beauty queen who captured the heart of the people by being confidently beautiful with a heart came through and continues to be one of the most loved Miss Universe.
On Monday, Pia celebrated her sixth month as Miss Universe with a simple Instagram post from her latest magazine cover.
“Today, I'm officially 6 months old as Miss Universe!” she exclaimed.
Rogue magazine recently recognized the Filipina beauty queen as one of the 50 Most Influential Filipinos online in their second annual list.
Since becoming Miss Universe last December, Pia has met with leaders from all over the world and raised awareness for her advocacies such as gender equality and HIV/AIDS prevention. She also spent time with international superstars, traveled across the globe, became a Super Bowl correspondent, and walked the runway of New York Fashion Week.
