New category for Miss World Fiji pageant

The Miss World Fiji organisers have included a new ‘Talent’ category for this year’s competition.

Director Andhy Blake says this will help with the preparations for the chosen Miss World Fiji.

Former Miss World Fiji queens Brittany Hazelman, Koini Vakaloloma and Caireen Erbsleben all performed dances whilst Charlene Tafunai’i sang.

Fiji is yet to make an impact in the talent finals at the World Pageant and this time around the organizers are certain things will change.

“We’ve decided to incorporate talent because it is such a huge event at the Miss World International Pageant where we tend to find amazing singers and amazing dancers. So we thought you know Fiji has a pool of talent that has yet to be discovered so why not Miss World Fiji.”

Judging for best talent will take place this Thursday with the winner performing at the finale.

Miss World Fiji gets underway this Saturday at the Grand Pacific Hotel starting at 6pm.
