Miss Universe New Zealand has joined others left feeling short-changed by a VIP experience at Canterbury Fashion Week show on Friday night.
Samantha McClung, who was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand last year, took to Instagram to criticise the event.
She said while she had loved the clothes at the show, held at the Christchurch Art Gallery, she had felt "let down by everything else".

A group of Christchurch women were left unimpressed when their $1500 VIP table at the Canterbury Fashion Week show on Friday night was replaced by third row seats.
"It was cold, way too loud and I feel sorry for the ladies who paid for their VIP tickets as you didn't get much for what the price was!

"Sucks to bring negativity on an event that had so much potential!"
McClung's comments come after a group of Christchurch mothers reported their disappointment with the VIP event.
Brooke Bath and her eight friends, many of whom were new mothers on their first night out in months, said they were under the impression they had booked and paid for a table, with a platter and some bubbles, she said.
Instead, for $172.50 each, they got third-row seats, struggled to see the stage through a giant bull statue and were cold from the breeze coming through the gallery doors.

On her Instagram post McClung suggested organisers may need to change the venue for next year's event.

Event organiser Denyse Saunders has defended the event, saying she was overwhelmed with positive feedback and Bath's was the only complaint.
The $150+gst gold VIP tickets advertised on the main event website promised seats in the front two rows, a glass of champagne, food platters and an "exciting goodie bag".
When the group arrived at the gallery, they were told all seating was theatre style, with no tables set up, Bath said.
The website originally advertised the event as being held at The Tannery on April 22, where tables were available.
This later changed to the Christchurch Art Gallery on April 29, where tables were unable to be used – but the details on the booking website were not updated, still showing tables available for $1500+gst.
Bath said she was not made aware of any changes to the seating plan. She and her friends left after the first interval, she said.
Saunders said she had heard "nothing but positive feedback" from most of the attendees, and thought the night had gone "flawlessly".
"It was a great showcase of Canterbury fashion, which was enjoyed by all 400 attendees, except this small group."
