NORTH PLATTE, Neb. It's been a tense week for more than a dozen young women hoping to be crowned the new Miss Nebraska.
This week, 16 women competed in evening wear, physical fitness, talent, and answered an on stage question, in hoped of winning the crown.
Saturday night, 10 contestants made it to the top 10, before the competition was narrowed down to the top five.
They included Jenni Wahonick, Miss Twin Rivers. Savannah Rave, Miss Douglas County, Aleah Peters, Miss Omaha, Allison Baird, Miss Scottsbluff County, and Lianna Prill, Miss Queen City.
At the end of the night, Miss Omaha Aleah Peters walked away with the crown.
Savannah Rave was named first runner up, 2nd runner up went to Lianna Prill, Jenni Wahonick took third and Allison Baird came in fourth.
Now there is no doubt it's been a rigorous week for these contestants.
It was definitely a packed house Saturday night at North Platte High as the new Miss Nebraska was crowned.
