From McDonalds to modelling: Meet the new Miss Liverpool
Molly McEntee-Morris is swapping ketchup for the catwalk
Molly McEntee-Morris, 17, is a server at the Bromborough fast food restaurant but chip fat and hair nets haven’t stopped her pursuing her passion for modelling.
Molly, from Wirral, will now go on to the Miss England finals to be held in Southport next month.
Molly said: “I’ve struggled with self-confidence but I gave the competition a good shot and it’s an experience I will always treasure.”
She added: “McDonald’s is obviously very different to working in a pageant but it’s the same sense of community, like modelling and Miss England. There is a very supportive atmosphere.”
Molly has brains as well as beauty, having just completed her AS Levels in Chemistry, Biology and English at Wirral Grammar School for Girls.
Since winning her crown Molly has made appearances at the International Mersey River Festival, met the Mayor Roz Gladden, and taken a spin around the Albert Dock in the speedboat of ThunderCat World Champion James Tapp.
In true beauty queen style Molly has also got involved in charity work, helping the Beauty with Purpose charity raise money for disadvantaged children. Molly has also organised a sponsored trek up Mount Snowdon.
Molly said: “To me it’s using what you’ve got to your maximum advantage to work for charity and make a difference.”
She will also be attending and helping out at charity events at Zoe’s Place children’s hospice in West Derby.

She said: “I have always been charitable and I have supported Alzheimer’s charities in the past but Zoe’s place, when I’ve visited, has always been a heartwarming experience.”Molly will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of current Mr England Chris Brammell, from Belle Vale, who won the Mr Liverpool title after being spotted stacking shelves in Aldi.
This Molly has style? Well so do our lovely Aintree ladies at Ladies Day this year
She said: “I’m so happy that I won Miss Liverpool, I’d never done anything like this before, but my mate asked me to model for a local designer in a catwalk show last July and since then it’s just got better and better.”
Molly will now go on to represent Liverpool in the Miss England competition which is being held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Southport, on July 20 and 21, competing with 50 other finalists from across the country.
The contest will feature a series of qualifying rounds that include sports/fitness, fund-raising, talent & an eco-fashion show.
