Kelly Koch was crowned Miss Iowa on Saturday and will represent the state in the Miss American Pageant the week of Sept. 6 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Koch, of Waukee, Iowa, is Miss Polk County. She was one of 17 young women competing in the annual pageant, held at the Adler Theatre, Davenport.
Julia Campbell, 16, Miss Clinton County’s Outstanding Teen, was selected as Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen. She is the daughter of Dennis and Kristin Campbell of DeWitt.
Miss Scott County, Johannah Vittetoe, was first runner-up. Other finalists include Miss Pearl City, Jessica Baker, second runner-up; Miss Metro, Meredith Olson, third runner-up, and Miss Cedar Valley, Molly Schunicht, fourth runner-up.
Saturday's competition followed two nights of preliminary competition. Award recipients include:
