Sixty schoolgirls have just landed the photo op of a lifetime - a selfie with Miss South Africa 2016 Ntandoyenkosi Kunene.

The girls‚ from various schools across the Gauteng province‚ and Kunene are being hosted by Minister in the Presidency for Women Susan Shabangu at the Union Buildings.

The "Take a girl child to work day" event celebrates the 60th anniversary of the historic women's march on the Union Buildings which saw 20 000 hand a petition to Prime Minister JG Strijdom in 1956‚ demanding an end to apartheid pass laws.

The girls gathered indoors due to the capital's morning drizzle and had a chance to chat to Miss SA and snap some selfies indoors before proceedings officially began.
