Miss Omaha claims crown as Miss Nebraska 2016

NORTH PLATTE — Miss Omaha won the title of Miss Nebraska on Saturday.
Aleah Peters was crowned after nearly a week of competition that narrowed the finals to 10 young women.
Peters now will represent Nebraska in the Miss America competition. She is the daughter of Jerry and Kay Peters of Omaha.
Her talent in the competition was baton twirling. Her platform was cyberbullying prevention.
First runner-up was Savannah Rave, Miss Douglas County, also from Omaha.
The others who finished in the top five: Lianna Prill, Miss Queen City of the Plains, from Kearney, second runner-up; Jenni Wahonick, Miss Twin Rivers, Papillion, third runner-up; Allison Baird, Miss Scotts Bluff County, Gering, fourth runner-up.
