Priyanka Hard At Work For Miss World 2016

Preparations for Miss World 2016 are growing, according to Pooja Priyanka.
Since being crowned Miss World Fiji 2016 in May, she is set represent our country at the Miss World Pageant in December in Washington DC, in the United States.
Originally from Lautoka, Ms Priyanka now resides in Sydney, Australia.
She aims to bring the international Miss World crown home and says her biggest support comes from her family, who are helping her prepare.
“There is definitely plenty to keep me occupied,” she said.
“From speaking to designers with the outfits we want to showcase, representing our island nation at its best, to going to the gym to increase my fitness every day.
“The most exciting is planning our project for Beauty with a Purpose –- that’s what I am looking forward to the most.”
She said when she arrives in Fiji this month, she would finalise her plans and start work on the Beauty with a Purpose project.
“Beauty with a Purpose project is one of the most important factors of the pageant and we are focusing on relief efforts, on what the Tropical Cyclone Winston has done to Fiji,” she said.
“We will work on raising funds to donate farming equipment to farmers and help TC Winston-affected people.
“And I’m still working closely with our sponsors and our latest partner Fiji International to help us achieve our goals for Miss World later this year.”
