Vote online for HPU grad in Miss USA Pageant

Devin Gant, who graduated from High Point University in May, will compete for the Miss USA title this week.
The pageant has opened up online voting. The contestant who gets the most online votes will automatically advance to the round of 15 on Sunday.
Gant is a Charlotte native who recently got her bachelor’s degree in strategic communication and marketing. At HPU, Gant was a resident adviser, a university ambassador and a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program. She also was a Honey Bee dance for the NBA's Charlotte Hornets during the 2014-15 season.
To vote online, visit vote.missusa.com. Voting remains open until June 4.
The pageant will be aired at 7 p.m. Sunday on WGHP (Fox, Channel 8). Terrence "Terrence J" Jenkins, an N.C. A&T graduate, will host.
The winner of Sunday's Miss USA pageant will advance to the Miss Universe contest later this year.
The last Miss USA winner from North Carolina was Kristen Dalton of Wilmington in 2009.
