Ms. Zamboanga's Q&A response on Miss Earth competition goes viral

Perhaps climate change experts have something to say about this.
In last night's Miss Earth competition held at the UP Theater in Diliman, Miss Zamboanga Bellatrix Tan went trending because of her insights about the weather-related phenomena #ElNiño and #LaNiña.
Here's the video uploaded by Twitter user Miss Krizzy.
One of the judges best decribed it as: "Nakakaloka! (This will make me go crazy!)"
In summary, she said that we should start planting tres to fight El Niño, the case of extreme draught. "If we start now, we will achieve La Niña," she added.
La Niñas generally bring extreme rains and even hurricanes in some areas. Both #ElNiño and #LaNiña are considered problematic weather situations.
Well, who are we to judge?! Perhaps science wasn't Miss Zamboanga's favorite subject when she was in school.
Unfortunately, basic science is an important aspect of the Miss Earth competition as it has an advocacy for raising awareness about environmental awareness.
Bellatrix didn't win a crown.
Imelda Schweighart was crowned as the new Miss Philippines Earth 2016.
