The competition to determine the next Miss USA 2016 is underway in Las Vegas. On Wednesday, June 1st the girls will feel the fire when they first take the stage at the new T-Mobile Arena and model swimwear and evening gowns. A panel of judges will score all 52 participants and the Top 15 will be revealed during the live telecast on Sunday, June 5 on the FOX network. The judges for this first viewing are Fred Nelson, Joey Boukadakis, Keltie Knight, Kristin Conte, Nick Phelps and Rebecca Bienstock. The Miss USA 2016 preliminary competition will have a live audience and broadcast on the official website. You can watch the livestream of the event below starting at 7pm ET.
The Miss USA 2016 main show will be hosted by Julianne Hough andTerrence Jenkins. Both will be joined by Ashley Graham from backstage that will have the inside scoop and all the drama from behind the scenes. Musical performances will be made possible by Chris Youngand Backstreet Boys. Judges for the telecast are Ali Landry, Crystle Stewart, Joe Zee and Laura Brown.
This year there are only two Latinas vying for the Miss USA 2016 crown: Nadia Mejia from California and Daniella Rodriguez from Texas. In total there are 52 beauty queens competing for the title, each representing a state, with an additional girl representing the District of Columbia and the 52 participant voted by fans. The girls have been in Las Vegas all week rehearsing for the show and prepping to make things go smoothly in hopes of winning. Olivia Jordan, who represented Oklahoma, is the current titleholder. She went on to represent the USA in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant where she placed as second-runner up behind winner Pia Wurtzback and first runner-up Ariadna Gutiérrez.
