The 2016 Miss Louisiana Pageant will be held June 23-25 at 7:30 p.m. nightly at the Monroe Civic Center’s WL “Jack” Howard Theater.
A press conference June 20 will be the first opportunity to meet the 32 contestants from all over the state vying for the title of Miss Louisiana.
“ April Nelson, Miss Louisiana 2015, has done a wonderful job representing the state and representing our organization. She is a prime example of what the Miss America Organization can do for the young ladies who compete. She has received over $100,000 while competing and graduated debt free. April was a talent preliminary winner and 3rd Runner Up to Miss America. We are very proud of her for her accomplishments.”  said Dewana Little, executive director.
Preliminary competition will be held on Thursday and Friday evening and the live statewide telecast will be held on Saturday.  This year’s show will feature Miss Louisiana 2015, April Nelson, the Miss Louisiana Band, Miss Louisiana 2013, Jaden Leach, Miss Louisiana 2008, Blair Abene McCurdy and a male vocalist, Blake Oden. Ed Walsh, Melissa Whitworth, Kelsi Crain, Jennifer Dupont Malbrough and Hope Anderson will emcee. Also featured will be the 32 contestants and 70 Fleur de Lis Princesses.
The Miss Louisiana Organization would like to thank all of our sponsors because without the wonderful support of our great community, the Miss Louisiana Pageant would not be the success that it is each year.  Miss Louisiana Corporate Sponsors include:  Monroe/West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau, City of Monroe, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Propane Dealers of Louisiana, Vantage Health Plan, The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living, Louisiana Tech University, Big Whit 77 Foundation, Towne Place Suites, Laundry by Shelli Segal, JPS Executive Transportation and JPS Ford of Arcadia.
