Miss Grand Forks Christianson takes Miss North Dakota 2016

Macy Christianson, Miss Grand Forks, won the title of Miss North Dakota 2016 Saturday night at Williston High School.
WILLISTON — Macy Christianson, Miss Grand Forks, won the title of Miss North Dakota 2016 Saturday night at Williston High School.
Christianson, whose talent was contemporary ballet, also won awards for most photogenic and most athletic, carries a platform of ‘You Decide the Road Ahead.’
At the end of the talent and swimsuit competition, and a final vocal performance by outgoing Miss North Dakota Delanie Wiedrich, and then all of current and former the field was winnowed from 11 semifinalists to five finalists.
They were: Cara Mund, Miss Oil Country; Kylie Helm, Miss Northern Lights; Reyna Bergstrom Miss Badlands; Lizzie Jensen, Miss Geographic Center; and Macey Christianson, Miss Grand Forks.
The five finalists were then each asked an all-important single question, that ranged in topic from ‘what should presumptive presidential nominees look for in a vice president?’ To, ‘what can be done to prevent sex assault on college campuses?’
Jensen was fourth runner-up, Helm was third runner-up, Bergstrom was second runner-up and Mund first runner-up.
Wiedrich then placed the crown upon the head of Christianson, in her final act as Miss North Dakota
 In the last of the awards before the big one, Helm won Miss Congeniality.
