Ms PH is press fave in Ms Global pre-pageant

Miss Philippines Camille Hirro has been chosen Darling of the Press during kick-off ceremonies for Miss Global 2016 beauty contest held in Quezon City recently.
Other winners were Caitlyn Henry of Australia, 1st runner-up, and Linnea Johansson, Sweden, 2nd runner-up.
Forty candidates from around the globe made their way to Manila to compete at the Miss Global 2016 beauty pageant which will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on September 24.
This year’s official candidates are: Maryam Barghoyan, Armenia; Caitlynn Henry, Australia; Khumo Leburu, Botswana; Mikaela Katrina, Brazil; Steliyana Filipova, Bulgaria; Dane Ny, Cambodia; Trisha Vergo, Canada; Katherine Saavedra, Chile; Helen Zhong, China; Effrosyni Lacovou, Cyprus; Nikola Bechynova, Czech Republic; Stephanie Camacho, Dominican Republic; Angela Bonilla, Ecuador; Courtney Jones, England; Tasha Delhomme, France; Anna Tochparidi, Germany; Weendy Legerme, Haiti; Valeriya Vergunova, Holland; Sonam Patel, India; Malikeh Razavi, Iran; Danielle Bouskila, Israel;
Tima Keilah, Kenya; Credella Credle, Madagascar; Su Pwint Oo, Myanmar; Ester Haikola, Namibia; Faith Obaegbulam, Nigeria; Britt Rekkedal, Norway; Camille Hirro, Philippines; Marina Shameeva, Russia; Katarina Avramovic, Serbia; Michelle Daniels, South Africa; Eshani Diana, Sri Lanka; Linnea Johannson, Sweden; Buppha Nilsawat, Thailand; Tenz Ing Sangnyi, Tibet; Adrianna Edwards, Trinidad and Tobago; Elhem Ben Aicha, Tunisia; Daryna Ilvovska, Ukraine; Nataliya Baltsevych, USA; and VyKhanh Nguyen, Vietnam.
“We are very eager to welcome the candidates and extend to them our hospitality,” said Pauline Sofia Laping, CEO and National Pageant Director of Miss Global Philippines, organizers of the pageant.
“We also look forward to another exciting competition, and we can hardly wait to see who will end up with the crown,” she added.
This is the second time that the Philippines will host the beauty pageant. The reigning Miss Global is Jessica Peart of Australia.
“It’s going to be another tough competition. The candidates are getting more and more competitive each year,” Laping observed.
Prior to the finals, the candidates will tour some of the famous tourist spots in the country, including Bohol province.
The first Miss Global pageant was staged in Redondo Beach, California in 2013. Its mission is to promote goodwill via charitable fundraisers while projecting a positive image for women across the globe.
