Miss World New Zealand is set to unveil her secret weapon – a haka.
Deborah Lambie, a 25 year old from Dunedin, is one of 117 contestants in the month-long competition in China, which began with an audition for the Miss World 2015 Dances of the World.
"It was very special watching contestants share culture from all around the world," she said.

Her audition involved a haka, which she had been taught back in Wellington after consultation with Maori elders.
In a 24-hour period, Lambie arrived in China, officially became a doctor and celebrated her birthday alongside dozens of other contestants.
She is based at the city of Sanya, Hainan Island, where she met other contestants and "got settled in".
"What really strikes me is how diverse we all are – everyone looks so different," Lambie said.
Dozens of contestants joined together to celebrate her birthday.
The competition, which officially begins on Monday, also features a fitness component and a talent performance, with the final to be broadcast to an estimated audience of two billion viewers.
Lambie urged New Zealanders to vote for her in the online popularity contest, which she was leading on Monday.
