The 2016 Miss USA pageant takes place this weekend, and 52 beauties are competing for this year's crown.
Contestants are representing all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, but this year's event features an additional entry: Miss 52 USA. Alex Miller, the runner-up for Miss Oklahoma USA, won the new spot after an online contest with more than 1,000 entries vying for a spot on stage.
Julianne Hough and Terrence J. Jenkins will co-host the pageant, with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Ashley Graham serving as a backstage commentator. Ali Landry, Joe Zee, Laura Brown and Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart will be on the panel of judges.
Hough told Entertainment Weekly that this year's pageant slogan is "Confidently Beautiful." We will celebrate "kindness, compassion, being healthy and active, all sorts of things," she told the magazine.
The 2016 Miss USA pageant will air Sunday, June 5 at 7 p.m. on Fox. Backstreet Boys and Chris Young will perform during the show.
Last year's pageant aired on Reelz after controversy surrounding Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's comments about Mexican immigrants. NBC cut ties with the billionaire businessman, ending the pageant's joint venture between Trump and the network and forcing Miss USA and Miss Universe to find a new home.
Olivia Jordan, of Oklahoma, was crowned Miss USA 2015 last year.
